A multi award winning photographer, Elaine discovered her passion in photography whilst studying software engineering in UNSW, Sydney. "My love for the captured moments through the lens fueled me to pack all I need into my car straight after graduation and drive 10 hours to RMIT, Melbourne to study Bachelor of Arts, Photography, and I have not looked back since." In 2002, she was one of the 10 finalists of the Nikon Award at the Australian Centre of Photography, NSW.
After her photographic studies, Elaine worked at Robert McGrath Photographic Exhibitors, a fine art photography gallery based in Sydney. "Deep in the gritty details of fine art digital printing and retouching. It was a wonderful opportunity to work with artists who chose the camera as their medium of expression." Not letting up on her own photography, Elaine won 2 merit awards in 2005 in the Black and White Magazine from the United States.
There after, Elaine worked as a production manager at Jeremy Byrnes Photography, and also as an architectural photographer. Her expertise in digital retouching and her unique talent in photographing landscape made her portraiture style not just photojournalistic, but also artistic like no other. In 2008, she won 2 silver awards from the AIPP (Australia Institute of Professional Photography) NSW Awards.
A mother of one, her vast experience and versatility in photography, as well as her easy going nature, is a potent combination which brings the best out of all her subjects. "I love pets and children, I love celebration, and most importantly, I love knowing that I've made a beautiful moment in someone's life, timeless in the form of imagery."
